| Sunday morning rain! |
This was going to be our 4th and last Sunday with
the Cairns group. We felt that we had got to know them somewhat, and they had
given us a positive impression in the way they were going about setting up a
new congregation. There had been difficulties, and no doubt there will be more,
but overall their attitude and willingness to be guided by Scripture showed
that they had the means to overcome the sorts of troubles a new organisation
encounters. We wish them the Lord’s blessing.
We went through the now familiar routine of worship service,
coffee/lunch, singalong and bible study. After that we went home to our corner
plot to enjoy the dry weather.
In the evening we went to have dinner at Matt
and Claire Byl’s place. They have a lovely home in a most beautiful garden
setting. While it is only about 100 metres from the Cairns Western Arterial
Road, very little traffic noise filtered through the intervening bush. We had a
wonderful evening together, and were made to feel very welcome. Thank you for
